Mapping & Live Operations
Interactive Mapping & AVL
One real-time map shows everything β stations, active calls, unit positions, personnel locations, POIs, and custom layers. Route units to incidents, view ETAs, and maintain a common operating picture for your entire department.

Every resource, every incident, every boundary β visible on one interactive map with automatic refresh.
Interactive Operations Map
A single, real-time map displays stations, active calls, unit positions, personnel locations, POIs, and district boundaries β all togglable by layer.
Points of Interest
Create POI types with custom markers, then add individual locations with GPS coordinates. Import bulk POIs from KML/KMZ files up to 10 MB.
Custom GeoJSON Layers
Define custom map overlays using GeoJSON FeatureCollection format. Draw response districts, coverage areas, hazard zones, or any geographic boundary.
Live Routing
View real-time routing from any unit or station to a call location. Station-to-call routing resolves addresses and coordinates automatically.
Station Geofences
Define geofenced areas around stations. Geofences display on the map and can be used for automatic resource assignment and response district delineation.
Permission-Controlled Visibility
Personnel location visibility is controlled by the CanSeePersonnelLocations permission β configurable per department in Security settings for full privacy control.
Real-Time Common Operating Picture
The mapping module aggregates all spatial data into one interactive view. Centered on your department's configured location, the map refreshes automatically to show the latest positions, states, and incidents. Dispatchers and commanders see the same picture in real time.
- Stations with address markers and geofence overlays
- Active calls with priority-colored markers
- Unit positions from live AVL GPS tracking
- Personnel locations (permission-controlled)
- Points of interest and district boundaries
- Auto-center on department coordinates or geocoded address
Layers, POIs & Districts
Create custom map layers with GeoJSON for response districts, mutual aid boundaries, or hazard zones. Add points of interest categorized by type with custom markers. Import bulk POI data from KML/KMZ files used by other GIS tools.
- GeoJSON FeatureCollection layers with soft-delete
- POI types with custom marker images
- Individual POIs with name, description, and GPS coordinates
- Bulk KML/KMZ import (up to 10 MB per file)
- Filter map to show only specific POI types
- Layer and POI CRUD with department scoping
Routing & Navigation
Live routing shows the fastest path from a station or unit to an incident location. Coordinates resolve from addresses, GPS, or What3Words. Routing data helps commanders stage resources and predict arrival order.
- Call routing from unit's current position
- Station-to-call routing with address resolution
- ETA calculation via geo-routing service
- Supports direct address, GPS, and What3Words locations
- Map data endpoints for custom integrations
- OSM (OpenStreetMap) base layer integration
