Get Resgrid IC
Runs on Android and iOS phones and tablets, desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), the web, and self-hosted Docker.
Command the Whole Incident
IC brings NIMS/ICS structure, resource tracking, accountability, and a defensible timeline into one live board.
Establish & Transfer Command
Establish command on any active call, optionally from department templates, run multiple boards at once, transfer command with everyone notified, and close it when the incident ends.
ICS Structure & Lanes
Build free-form Divisions, Groups, Branches, Sectors, Strike Teams, Task Forces, Staging, and Unified Command with color coding, leads, and rotation rules.
Resource Assignment
Assign department units and personnel, mutual-aid resources, and ad-hoc external or volunteer resources — with work-time and rotation-due indicators per assignment.
Accountability & PAR
Personnel accountability is computed from check-in timers with green, warning, and critical states, plus scene, benchmark, and custom timers with live countdowns.
Objectives & Needs
Track tactical objectives and benchmarks with progress and completion, and command-level needs for resources, logistics, medical, equipment, and staffing.
ICS-201 Timeline
Every command action is auto-logged and timestamped into an ICS-201-style incident timeline for a defensible, after-action-ready record.
A Live, Server-Backed Command Board
IC is the incident command application — a digital command board for the Incident Commander. Establish command on a single structure fire or a multi-agency event, build your ICS structure, assign and track resources, and keep everyone accountable in real time. It is synchronized with the Resgrid backend and with the Responder and Unit apps, so the board reflects what is actually happening in the field.
- Multiple simultaneous incident command boards, switch between them
- Lanes tied to tactical objectives and incident needs
- Per-lane requirements: min/max units, riding counts, rotation windows
- Tap-to-move resources with conflict and early-rotation warnings
- NIMS/ICS functional roles enforced by the server
- Command details every resource sees — end time, hazards, staging notes

Offline-First, Tablet-First
Command doesn't stop when connectivity does. IC operates fully offline — every action queues locally and replays to the server on reconnect, and delta sync keeps multiple command devices converged on the same board. It is built tablet-first with a dedicated landscape board and one-tap actions for the things that matter under pressure.
- Full command board operation while disconnected
- Automatic replay and delta sync across command devices
- Dedicated landscape board layout for tablets
- One-tap actions designed for use under pressure
- Mapbox incident map with unit AVL and live personnel positions
- On-demand tactical PTT voice channels with transmission logging
Everyone Stays in the Loop
Because IC is part of the Resgrid platform, the people you assign actually get notified. Resgrid users and units receive push, email, or SMS — per their own preferences, including iOS critical alerts — when they are assigned, moved between lanes, or released. The board, the map, and the responders all tell the same story.
- Push, email, and SMS notifications on assignment and lane moves
- iOS critical alerts support for time-sensitive orders
- Map annotations synced across every command device
- Ad-hoc external contacts as lane leads with name, phone, email
- Timers and PAR states surface accountability at a glance
